Cadillac Cts Mpg Whats Wrong With My 2006 Dodge Charger SXT? It Gets 12.5 MPG!?! It Says Its Supposed To Get 17!!?

Whats wrong with my 2006 Dodge Charger SXT? It gets 12.5 MPG!?! It says its supposed to get 17!!? - cadillac cts mpg

I bought a used 2006 Dodge Charger SXT (6 cylinder) from someone. Anyone who has 20,000 miles on it and made sure that the person selling it to me he has a Dodge dealer to be investigated any errors. Everything he said was less dust fracture fixation. I love everything about the car except the gas mileage! I do not think this car is gas mileage wrong, I'm sure that something be wrong. My girlfriend of the father's Cadillac CTS has 9 horses more than me, and through the city all the time, and GE is about 20 MPG! The first day I had the car, the gas was significantly reduced not understand why I see how it accelerates to 60 MPH wanted. But then I filled the tank of a herd chance to see what is in their best years, and I calculated 12.4_ miles per gallon! (This is not a mistake ... I can not do math, haha). Any ideas anyone? Anything would help! Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions!

Check the first obvious things, such as:
1. Air filter. A clean air filter can significantly increase mile and power.
2. Check tire pressure. Low tire pressure can cause a significant loss of miles.
3. Walk in the A / C on all the time? Moderate to use A / C.
4. Reducing the weight inside the vehicle by removing all obesity is the root.
5. If you brake dust is too high, you may have checked the brakes again. You may have a thick paste, which can cause you to use more fuel than necessary.

- Top down cabotage
- Do not stop energy waste ...
- A kind of silly for a sports car, and do not put the gas pedal.
- Remove the weight. If you want to go into town just to keep only half a tank of gas. Each gallon weighs about 6 pounds.

Perhaps his hat is not good. Do you have a check engine light? Remember, the things that the EPA is an estimate and not a fact. say he could get 17th But will dotn promise. As for my 03 Dakota 4.7 say he should be 15 city and 24 highway. me too 16 to 17 cities and 21 highways. once obtained 24

I would also like an oil change, that someone had made thicker than those fixed by the engine oil. Therefore recommend that this elusive and see if this help, too. The heavy burden of oil cause poor MPG.

I checked out the candles on them for their well-being, and that the resulting gap in which they also check the air filter, you will probably never changed before to ensure, but also an exploration team has done it, if nothing to see with that wrong, the car was much better than that, also relax the internal combustion engines are not intended to be fast to be reliable, good luck with it.
